We have an immediate need for a SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER for a successful and growing importer / distributor in Vaughan. The company has been in business for over 50 years, and is growing quickly due to changes in the automotive sector including a push toward electric vehicles. We are looking for a supply chain professional with expertise in both purchasing and supply chain management that can help take the company to new heights.

This is a role for a strategic leader with a strong background in inventory planning and a minimum of 5 years’ experience. If you are looking for a chance to apply your leadership experience and problem-solving skills, improving processes and implementing new systems we want to hear from you.

This role oversees a broad range of supply chain planning responsibilities including inventory optimization, customer service, demand planning and purchasing. We need an experienced leader with strong planning and analysis skills who can provide coaching and development to a team of 8 planners / analysts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in purchasing and inventory planning.
  • Post-Secondary Education is required. SCMP or CPIM an asset.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including Excel and ERP systems.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, able to manage vendor relationships and customer requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Preference for experience in automotive and / or fasteners.

Compensation

$115,000 – $125,000 plus bonus and benefits.
