Operations Manager

Due to a recent promotion, a fast-paced courier company has an immediate opening for an Operations Manager at their branch office in Surrey. The company specializes in high-value freight, and manages its logistics with a high level of security. The company is going through exciting changes and growth, so this is a fantastic time to join the organization.

This is a hands-on role, overseeing a team of over 100 associates including both drivers and warehouse staff. The operations manager has full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the facility, providing leadership for all logistics, scheduling, service delivery, building maintenance, storage and transportation functions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of transportation management experience, leading teams of over 100 staff.
  • Preference for broad logistics experience including warehousing / cross-dock, driver management, routing, customer service.
  • Project management experience would be a big plus! There are some very exciting changes on the horizon, we are looking for someone to lead change.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office) are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operating budgets is another key requirement.

Compensation

$85,000 - $115,000, excellent benefits
