One of Canada’s leading healthcare distributors has an immediate opening for a Distribution Centre Manager. Smiths Falls is a beautiful town right on the Rideau Canal, and is a short drive from Ottawa or Kingston. The company has a highly engaged workforce and a team-oriented work environment. We need a coach and mentor who is passionate about people, with the proven ability to develop a strong, engaged workforce. You will be leading a team of 100 associates, with a strong supervisory and support staff. The site is GMP compliant; experience in food, pharma or a similar regulated environment is a key requirement for this role.

SALARY RANGE: $120,000 – $140,000; plus bonus, benefits, company shares, and opportunities for career advancement.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of operations management experience, leading teams of 70+ associates.
  • Preference for healthcare / pharma experience, but would consider food, cosmetics or a similar regulated environment.
  • Must be a motivated team builder, coach and mentor.
  • Experience in process improvement (lean or Six Sigma) would be a tremendous asset.
  • Strong analytical skills, including advanced spreadsheet analysis using MS Excel.
  • Preference for post-secondary education.

Compensation
